ARCHETYPE IDopenEHR-EHR-CLUSTER.lab_antibody.v0
ConceptAntibody test finding
DescriptionThe result of a laboratory test designed to detect and quantify the presence of specific antibodies produced by the immune system in response to a microorganism, tissue, allergen, or physiological process, within a clinical specimen.
UseUse to record the qualitative and quantitative findings for a specific antigen test for microbial and non-microbial antibodies.
MisuseNot to be used to record findings observed from microbial culture of a specimen - use the CLUSTER.laboratory_test_culture archetype for this purpose. Not to be used to record findings from antigen testing of a specimen - use the CLUSTER.laboratory_test_antigen archetype for this purpose. Not to be used to record findings from molecular testing of a specimen - use the CLUSTER.laboratory_test_molecular archetype for this purpose.
PurposeTo record the qualitative and quantitative findings for a specific antibody test.

Test nameTest name: Name of the antibody test.
Coding with an external terminology is recommended, if available. For example: SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibody test.
Antibody targetAntibody target: The specific antigenic structure or component that the test is designed to detect.
Coding with an external terminology is recommended, if available. For example: infection-related IgG/IgM, IgG1 or IgG2, allergen-specific IgE; anti-dsDNA.
Microbial targetMicrobial target: The name of the microorganism associated with the antibody target, if relevant.
Coding with an external terminology is recommended, if available. For example: SARS-CoV-2.
Test methodTest method: Method used for the antibody test.
Coding with an external terminology is recommended, if available. For example: lateral flow immunoassay, ELISA, chemiluminescent immunoassay.
SpecimenSpecimen: Identification of the specimen examined.
If the tissue specimen has previously been identified in a a higher level archetype level archetype, such as the OBSERVATION.laboratory_test_result, this SLOT may be redundant.
