ARCHETYPE ID | openEHR-EHR-OBSERVATION.estimated_glomerular_filtration_rate.v0 |
Concept | Estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) |
Description | Calculated estimate of glomerular filtration rate as an indicator of renal function. |
Use | Use to record the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) of an individual. There are multiple formulas used to calculate the eGFR. The formula used to calculate the eGFR can be recorded in the Protocol. It is also possible to record the method of recording - either calculated and directly entered by the clinician or calculated and entered by the clinical software system. |
Misuse | Not to be used to record values of formula components, such as creatinine. These should be recorded using archetypes designed for this purpose, such as OBSERVATION.laboratory_test_result. Not to be used to record the directly measured Glomerular filtration rate - Use the OBSERVATION.laboratory_test_result for this purpose. |
Purpose | To record the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) of an individual. |
